Financial Controller, Production - KSA - Job Profile Job Title: Financial Controller, Production, KSA Reason for Recruitment: New Position Line of Report: Group Financial Controller & Strategy Functional Responsibilities: Accounting Current Subsidiaries: KSA, Egypt and UAE (total of 2,200 employees) Location: Riyadh, KSA Gender: Male Professional Experience: 5-10 years in a large & complex manufacturing environment with 5 years as a Production Controller or Head of Costing Department Remuneration: Annual remuneration all inclusive plus bonus for Production Controller – US$ 90K Core Strengths: Cost accounting Controlling methodologies & practices Inventory management & production systems Working capital cycle Supply chain management Must have attributes: Accounting controls and practices Experience in manufacturing module of a leading ERP i.e. SAP, Oracle etc. Working with large multi-national workforce Nice to have attributes: Arabic speaking Self Confident Expected Undertakings: Comply with all Group Policies & enable the development & implementation of appropriate accounting controls & practices. Responsible to develop proper systems & controls to support a smooth month end close for manufacturing facilities in the group. Analyze section-wise production against plan, identify over stocked positions & work with Production management to address the issues . Follow up the results of the month-end physical inventory check as well as periodic “surprise” checks, analyze & explain variances and ensure that necessary adjustments are made on basis of findings. Working with the Production & Costing teams, enable the development & implementation of an automated & robust cost accounting & controlling system with the capability to capture & control cost at an SKU level. Be responsible for the update of the end to end production & inventory processes. Working with Production & Costing teams, critically analyze all production cost components to assess cost-efficiency of various processes & recommend rectifying measures to the management in relation to wastage / loss control, uneconomic utilization of resources, possible rationalization of processes and system, etc.. Critically analyze gold inventory levels, follow up & implement measures to minimize inventory. Working with the costing team, establish processes to ensure smooth periodic revaluation of inventory. Working with Costing & Production introduce a process to produce accurate BOM & evaluate the planned SKU profitability vs the BUM targets. Critically analyze model-wise profitability. Analyze & control moving and non-moving models as well as aging of models. Review history of allowable loss standard & work with production to control & reduce it. Maintain track of gold melting and analyze losses incurred due to melting of finished / rejected / returned products . Act as a centre of expertise & advise production on their investment decisions. Work with the costing team to review & analyze the loading factors of production cost of WIP, semi finished and finished product inventory. Work with the costing & production to review & rationalize the product coding structure & the related chart of account. Facilitate strategic planning across the group production & monitor the performance against the plan. Act as advisor to production & working together with the Controller Sales, review the inventory & production plan. Driving & challenging business units on their plan execution assumptions, reviewing capacities, setting bench marks for throughput, redefining manufacturing KPI’s etc. Working with the Controller Sales, be responsible to contribute directly to improving the working capital cycle & the supply chain management of the group. Using the manufacturing analysis prepared by the costing team, explain variances in all components of production cost, increase efficiencies & help optimize production costs. Be responsible for the accuracy & integrity of the COGS numbers & the distribution module. Detailed impact scenario planning including impact analysis on product cost, margin, change in product lines, volume, staffing etc. Actively participate in cross functional projects with production & sales to identify opportunities for improvement. Responsible for producing management & key stakeholder reports & presentations ensuring high degree of transparency, accuracy & rigor. Ensure delivery of the customer offer together with pro-active feedback of results to the business. Develop and promote a clear process improvement & performance driven culture. Take a lead role in incident investigations and implement lessons learned to avoid repeat incidents. Provide coaching and mentoring to improve capabilities & performance in accounting function. |
